San Marcos, Texas offers so many beautiful locations for portrait sessions. This week we were able to head to Rio Vista Park for Vasti’s birthday session. Her husband was actually the one who reached out to me and planned this whole shoot for her. How sweet is that?! I honestly thought this was going to be a couple session and didn’t realize this was just her birthday shoot until I met her!

Vasti’s Portrait Session

Edson, Vasti’s husband, had mentioned that she would be wearing a pretty floral dress so we wanted to pick a pretty nature spot. I had made some suggestions but Rio Vista was the winner. He was not kidding! Vasti wore such a beautiful floral dress that matched the whole scenery perfectly. She was definitely prepared for her session! Vasti had all her outfit details planned with the sunglasses and the headband. She also got her hair and make up professionally done which is something I always recommend if in budget!

They were only available to do the session around 12PM and if you told that to any photographer they would run away! Shooting at noon is a challenge but shooting at noon in a popular spot is even worse! Thankfully we were able to find a good spot with less people around and capture some beautiful images. Vasti wanted Edson to join in on a few so we captured a few portraits of them together. To end the session Vasti wanted to do a confetti shot! Now don’t hate me for it! We attempted to pick up as much of the confetti as we could afterwards!
