Wimberley, TX Smash Cake | Faith

Faith’s cake smash session was a dream! I cannot believe this little princess is turning 1. I feel like just yesterday we were doing her newborn photos. Faith has grown so much in the last year. She can pull herself up on toys and is almost ready to walk. She enjoys dancing and watching Cocomelon. Faith’s favorite person is her mom and she loves to have her full attention! I cannot wait to see what milestones she accomplishes in the upcoming year.

Faith’s Smash Cake Session

For Faith’s cake smash, her mom picked a backdrop fit for a princess. As a surprise, I offered a second backdrop. I will not go into too much detail but I know a lot of moms out there know the meaning of a “Rainbow Baby.” I had the chance to get this backdrop just in time for Faith’s session and I knew she had to have it! As mentioned above, Faith loves her momma; therefore, it was a little challenging to get her to sit alone for photos. She wanted her mom in them too! I am all for mother/daughter sessions but this was ALL about Faith. With a little Peek-a-boo and dancing, we got her comfortable enough to give us some smiles. Faith enjoyed playing with the string lights and crawling away. I followed her lead and captured some sweet images of her anyway.

When it came time for the cake, Faith did not know what to think. Eventually, she tried the cake and of course fell in love with the sweet taste! It is always fun to watch the little ones react to the cake. Some completely destroy it but most only pick at it. Faith, like the princess she is, barely picked at it. When it came time to clean up at least we didn’t have to worry about her hands because she had those covered! I hope these make for some sweet memories for her sweet momma!
