Faust Street Bridge Photos | Jimenez Family

I am so excited to share these photos of the Jimenez family taken at Faust Street Bridge. Mom chose this location for their family session after seeing some of my previous work there. You can’t go wrong with portraits on the bridge and the beautiful water below. Despite the 100-degree summer heat and the crazy crowds, we were still able to capture some amazing portraits of them.

Faust Street Bridge Family Session

We did this session on a weekday thinking that it wouldn’t be as crowded despite being summertime. We quickly realized we were wrong! Faust Street Bridge is a popular location for photos in New Braunfels and when you mix the summer crowd in there it becomes very busy. We started on the bridge and captured some quick portraits of the family and then some individuals. Miss Faith, the youngest daughter, was not very interested in the session because she really wanted to explore the water below.

In hopes of capturing some portraits of Faith and making her happy, we headed down to the water. The area by the water is a photographer’s dream. If you head down there at the right time most of that area is covered with beautiful light. You can practically shoot in any direction and have a variety of backgrounds to choose from. Of course, the best angle to get is the one with the waterfall in the background! In this area, we were able to capture a lot of candid moments between each parent and the girls. Some of my favorite photos of the session were actually the ones I took of just Fabi and Edi. I feel like as parents we don’t get those very often so I try to get some of just mom and dad any chance I get!

Thank you to the Jimenez family for bearing the summer heat and allowing me to capture these portraits. Between the beautiful location and the perfect combination of colors, these quickly became some of my favorites!
