Texas State University Portraits | Mason

I’m so excited to share all about Mason’s Texas State University portraits with y’all today! When Mason’s mom reached out to me about his Texas State portraits I was so excited for the opportunity to work with him! I don’t get many male graduates so I take any chance I get to photograph them!

Texas State University Portraits

I didn’t realize what a ghost town Texas State University campus is during the summer. It seemed like Mason, Luke (my husband), and I were the only people on campus that evening. It wasn’t a bad thing! This made getting Mason’s portraits done very quick and easy. We started at the Arch and from there we went all around campus to capture some portraits in the typical iconic Texas State locations. If it wasn’t for mom mentioning that Mason wasn’t too thrilled about portraits, I would have never guessed. He had a great attitude the entire time; even though he had to suffer through the 100 degree Texas heat.

One of my favorite locations on campus is Old Main, so of course we took a few shots there! The portraits we took there ended up being some of my favorites from his entire portrait session. Since he is a business major, we ended our time together at the McCoy building. This is the building he had spent the most time in due to his major so some portraits there were a must!

Mason, thank you for being so great during your session even though portraits aren’t your thing! Whether you end up in Houston or Austin, I wish you the best in your career and future!
