UT Austin Graduation Session | Madelyn

I’m so excited to share this UT Austin Graduation session with you today! When Madelyn’s mom reached out to book her daughter’s graduation session with me I was so excited. I had previously worked with Madelyn during another group session that one of her friends had booked with me. I was even more excited to learn that this would be another friend session! Capturing the friendships that are built during these young ladies college journey is always so special.

This was really the third session I would be doing for Madelyn. The second session I was going to do with her was supposed to include her and her friend Faith. Unfortunately, Faith wasn’t able to attend the first session so we had to reschedule the friend session. I was just glad we were able to make a date work because I knew these images meant a lot to the both of them.

For this session I let the girls take the lead. They clearly had a vision for what they wanted so I just took a step back and allowed them to take me all over UT campus to get the shots they wanted. As a newer photographer on campus it was also nice of them to show me some of the hidden beauties that UT has to offer. One of my favorite locations was the School of Architecture garden area. Some of my favorite images from the whole shoot were taken there. The palm trees, architecture, and lighting were just perfect there! Unfortunately, the mosquitos seemed to love that area too! Faith and Madelyn had to suffer through those bites the whole time we were shooting there.

I just want to say thank you to Miss Melissa (Madelyn’s mom) for contacting me to capture this special friendship. I wish Madelyn the best as she continues her education at UT Austin and that her friendship with Faith lasts a lifetime!

Enjoy this little peek into this UT Austin graduation session!
