Jaden, I’ve loved you long before I met you. You were wanted, hoped for, prayed for, and you arrived more perfect than ever imagined. I can’t believe you are two. These past two years have probably been the most exhausting, joyful, and wonderful years of my life. Daddy and I love watching you learn and grow. If you ever wonder how much we love you the answer is to infinity.

Jaden’s Cake Smash

For Jaden’s cake smash, we went with a cookie theme. While I got everything set up, Jaden and his dad went for a walk. The minute Jaden walked in and saw the cookies he went to grab one! Unfortunately for him, we had to stop him so we could get him dressed for his photos. As soon as he was dressed he ran back to the cookie jar! I typically get formal pictures before we add any sweets but since he is my son my typical methods don’t work. People always think that photographer’s kids are easy to photograph but this is actually the complete opposite. Jaden recognizes my camera at this point and will either run away or try to touch my lens; therefore, distractions are a must. About three cookies in we decided it was time for cake! Jaden loved the chocolate on the cake and it was pretty much all he ate. We weren’t complaining though because his dad and I got to enjoy the rest of that cake for the next few days!

As a mom who values these memories, I will always try my hardest to capture beautiful images of your child as if they were my own.
